Description
Overview We are on a mission to ensure everyone has access to medical expertise, no matter where they are. Half the world still lacks access to quality healthcare. Even in advanced systems, outcomes are uneven, and clinicians are overwhelmed. Medical knowledge grows faster than human capacity can keep up. Corti exists to close that gap. Our AI platform expands access to medical expertise, reducing errors, restoring time to clinicians, and making care more affordable, accessible, and human again. There is no quality healthcare without a quality dialogue, and no reliable AI without a strong foundation. Help us build both. Why Corti? Corti is the frontier lab for clinical-grade AI. We build world-leading models and infrastructure that power healthcare's most ambitious software - from EHR vendors and virtual care platforms to the health systems that care depends on. Today, Corti serves over 100 million patients annually, including the NHS. Our flagship model, Symphony, is trained and validated on real clinical data from real patient interactions, and powers the clinical and administrative work that healthcare runs on. We power the builders who are redefining how healthcare works, from startups creating new patient experiences to enterprises modernizing the systems that care depends on. If you believe that AI purpose-built for medicine will define the next century of healthcare, you belong at Corti. The Role Corti operates large-scale, multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters that underpin every patient interaction and clinical AI inference we serve. The Platform team owns the clusters that make that work — from the control plane itself down to the developer tooling that lets product engineers ship quickly and safely. This is a software engineering role first. You'll design and build the systems that automate it - from Kubernetes controllers and platform APIs to developer toolings, harden cluster lifecycle management and deployment automation. You'll solve distributed systems problems, build abstractions that make infrastructure easier to use, and help shape the platform that every Corti engineer depends on. You'll work closely with software engineers across the company to understand their needs and build the capabilities that enable them to move faster while maintaining reliability, security and performance. What you'll be doing: - Design and build software that automates Kubernetes cluster provisioning, upgrades, scaling and lifecycle management. - Maintain and build Kubernetes operators, controllers and custom resource definitions (CRDs) that power our internal platform. - Design, build and operate core cluster services e.g. service discovery, ingress, observability pipelines that every workload depends on. - Building developer tooling and platform APIs that simplify how engineers deploy, debug and operate services. - Improving the software that manages application deployment across our multi-tenant Kubernetes platform. - Designing abstractions that hide infrastructure complexity from product engineering teams. - Solving distributed systems challenges around reliability, scheduling, networking, observability and scalability. - Partner with product engineering teams to translate workload requirements into platform primitives and self-service capabilities.. - Debugging complex production issues across Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, networking and application layers. - Helping evolve the architecture of the platform supporting AI workloads used by healthcare professionals around the world. - Participate in on-call, lead incident response, and design processes to prevent repeat failures. What you bring: - 5+ years of software engineering experience preferable in a Platform or Infrastructure Team - Significant experience building production software using low level system language, preferable in Go or Rust, C++ etc. - Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes beyond deploying appli
