Cast AI is an automation platform that optimizes cloud-native and AI infrastructure at scale using autonomous decision-making in Kubernetes and cloud environments. You will join a team building low-level systems for the multi-cloud automation platform, working at the intersection of Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and Linux. What You'll Do • Design, build, and operate backend services, Kubernetes operators, and controllers in Go across AWS, GCP, and Azure • Solve infrastructure-layer problems including networking, scheduling, storage, compute, and container runtime internals • Build and maintain high-throughput services using gRPC/REST and async orchestration workflows • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, on-call rotations, and customer technical deep-dives • Leverage and improve AI-powered development workflows and agentic development tools What You Need • Strong backend fundamentals and production-grade coding experience, preferably in Go • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes internals, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale distributed systems • Clear English communication with collaborative and self-directed approach • Deep understanding of Linux systems including process internals, networking, and filesystems • Proven experience working across AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud platforms Nice to Have • Deep knowledge of EKS, GKE, or AKS internals • Low-level Linux experience with networking protocols (NAT, iptables, conntrack, SDN) and storage systems • Kubernetes or cloud-native open-source contributions • Container runtime experience with CRI-O, runc, containerd, or CRIU checkpoint/restore • Experience with AI coding agents and agentic development workflows €6,500–€9,000 gross monthly salary depending on experience level, equity options, learning budget for conferences and courses, 10% time for personal projects, annual hackathon, team-building budget, equipment budget, and extra days off for work-life balance
