The Government Digital Products (GDP) Team aims to spearhead the digital transformation of government. Our team designs and develops software applications that help government agencies to better serve the needs of the people of Singapore.
At the Engagement and Case Management Programme (ECMP), our products are the primary touchpoints through which residents interact with the Singapore Government. We design and develop a suite of high-impact software applications including FileSG, Signify, PersonaliseSG, CrowdTask SG, and BookingSG.
The Challenge: Elevating FileSG
FileSG is a central, secure file management system designed to streamline the issuance and distribution of official documents to Singapore residents. Beyond simple file transfer, it serves as a citizen-centric platform that supports the secure delivery of verified files—such as certificates, licenses, letters, and notices—directly to users. Trusted by agencies to replace inefficient legacy channels like physical mail and unencrypted emails, FileSG offers end-to-end traceability, confidentiality, and ease of access. Our mission is to consolidate document distribution onto a single, secure-by-design platform, eliminating the need for individual agencies to develop fragmented solutions and delivering a seamless, digital-first experience at a national scale. Furthermore, the team is now focused on developing automation and self-help features, empowering agencies to self-service and enabling the platform to support large-scale adoption across the government.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you are a trusted technical pillar of a cross-functional agile team. You will own the design and delivery of high-impact, cross-component features that span multiple services, ensuring they are built for massive scale, modularity, and resilience.
You will work closely with your Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering peers to solve complex scheduling and scalability problems, ensuring our systems remain secure, performant, and IM8-compliant by default.
