We are looking for a Senior/Staff Java Engineer to join a fast-growing AI-focused team building cutting-edge cloud applications for real-time communications. This is an opportunity to work with innovative technologies including AI, Generative AI, and Large Language Models, while developing high-performance backend systems.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, test, and document backend services using Java and Spring Boot.- Build and maintain high-quality REST APIs and scalable microservices.- Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver end-to-end features.- Perform architectural reviews and mentor team members on best practices.- Take operational responsibility for the performance and quality of services, including on-call rotations.- Contribute to software engineering practices including automated testing, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.Requirements:- 7+ years of experience in Java backend development, with strong Spring Boot skills.- Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, or similar).- Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and API design.- Strong knowledge of agile development and software engineering best practices.- AI or machine learning experience is a plus, but not required.- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
