About the Role:
As a Senior Vehicle Technician at Lucid Motors, you will play a critical role in the expert diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of our Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs). Operating at the highest technical level, you will support complex repair cases, mentor fellow technicians, and uphold our commitment to premium service delivery.
This position requires a deep understanding of electric vehicle systems, diagnostic expertise, and advanced technical certifications. You will also contribute to special projects such as pre-production vehicles and prototype systems, while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards in a fast-paced workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently diagnose, repair, and maintain Lucid Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) at the highest technical standard
Manage complex diagnostic cases, including HV systems, network communications, and system integration issues
Document all service activities accurately using internal digital systems (DMS)
Strictly adhere to repair and safety protocols, especially for high-voltage and live systems
Support special vehicle projects including prototype, pre-production, and event/show vehicles
Mentor and provide guidance to junior and mid-level technicians
Collaborate with technical specialists, service advisors, and workshop leaders to resolve complex service issues
Participate in the continuous improvement of workshop processes and technical standards
Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality assurance
Mandatory continuous learning via Lucid’s online training platform and practical technical training courses to stay current with latest repair procedures.
Required Qualifications:
Norwegian trade certificate ( fagbrev ) as an automotive technician ( bilmekaniker )
Strong experience using diagnostic tools and systems (e.g., Bosch, Snap-On, OEM software)
High Voltage Certification to Norwegian standards
5 – 7 years of professional hands-on experience in an automotive workshop, including EV platforms
In-depth knowledge of automotive electrical systems, CAN/LIN/MOST networks, and system architecture
Valid Class B driver’s license
Fluent in Norwegian, with strong English communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and readiness to use internal systems (e.g., DMS)
Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturer Master Certification (e.g., BMW Master Technician)
