Senior Quantity Surveyor
Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction team delivering large-scale data centre projects in Finland. This role is ideal for an experienced quantity surveyor with strong commercial management background, looking to work on high-value, complex projects. You’ll have the opportunity to influence commercial strategies while mentoring a team and delivering exceptional project performance.

Client Overview
Our client is a well-established global contractor specialising in complex, high-value projects. They are recognised for delivering innovative engineering solutions across Europe and beyond, focusing on quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Own and implement the commercial strategy for assigned projects
Lead procurement activities, including tender preparation and subcontractor engagement
Prepare and present accurate financial forecasts, valuations and cash flow projections
Manage variations, claims, and ensure contractual compliance
Monitor project risk and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies as required
Produce and agree final accounts and ensure compliance across all contracts
Oversee reporting on commercial performance, risks, and opportunities to senior management
Mentor and support junior commercial team members, promoting collaboration and development
Must-have Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
Proven experience in commercial management of design and build contracts
In-depth knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms and dispute resolution
Strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills
Ability to manage complex subcontract agreements and provide commercial guidance
Sound understanding of risk management and contractual practices
Nice-to-have Skills
Chartered status with RICS, CIOB or equivalent body
Advanced CPD in industry trends and commercial management practices
