Description
We are looking for a Senior Production Supervisor for shift A & B who will be responsible for supervising the team of production supervisors, ensuring alignment on standards, coordinating cross-shift resources, and driving key managerial processes such as production planning and hiring plans. This role does not directly oversee production lines, operators, or line-level KPIs — instead, it focuses on developing and guiding the supervisor team so they can deliver operational results, while handling broader planning and people-management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills to develop talent, build supervisory capability, and drive results through others. Role and responsibilitites Supervises and develops the team of production supervisors, communicating expectations, planning workload distribution, and evaluating their performance. Builds and maintains the production plan at a shift level, coordinating with production supervisors on staffing needs, priorities, and scheduling across Shift A & B. Leads the hiring plan for the operation, partnering with HR to anticipate headcount needs and support recruitment timelines. Responsible for keeping the supervisory team highly trained and coached, ensuring proper development plans are in place for each supervisor. Reviews production performance data and trends compiled by supervisors, ready to discuss reports and explain tendencies to plant leadership. Creates and reviews systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, and budgetary and personnel requirements. Ensures supervisors maintain a clean and safe work environment, reinforcing compliance with established policies and procedures across shifts. Maintains a healthy employment relationship at the supervisory level, ensuring compliance with human resources policies and adherence to company values and principles. Solves personnel and interpersonal problems among supervisors by analyzing data, investigating root causes, identifying solutions, and recommending actions. Fosters a spirit of cooperation among production supervisors and other departments to support smooth cross-shift handoffs. Executes specific projects assigned in pursuit of continuous improvement. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, materials, industrial engineering, or a science-related engineering discipline, etc.) 2 -5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or highly regulated industry environment.
