If you believe the best way to do your job hasn’t been invented yet, you’ll fit right in. We are looking for a Senior Product Design Engineer to join the Ninja Coffee AD team in our Battersea office, helping to shape and deliver the next generation of Ninja Coffee products. This role will focus on driving product development from concept through to production, balancing consumer desirability, technical feasibility, and commercial viability to create outstanding consumer experiences.
You will work cross-functionally with Design, Engineering, Marketing, Quality, and Operations teams to develop innovative, high-quality products that strengthen the Ninja Coffee category and deliver a clear competitive edge in the market.
What You'll Do
Drive product development across the Ninja Coffee category, supporting projects from concept through to production handover
Translate consumer and market insights into innovative, high-quality products that solve real consumer problems and deliver a distinctive Ninja edge
Develop and refine product concepts through sketching, CAD, prototyping, and engineering validation
Collaborate closely with global cross-functional teams to ensure products are desirable, feasible, and commercially viable
Rapidly prototype and test ideas using workshop facilities, building models, prototypes, and test rigs as required
Identify and tackle technical risks early through structured testing and iterative development
Support engineering development activities including mechanism design, component development, material selection, and manufacturing feasibility
Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to support product industrialisation and mass production readiness
Benchmark competitor products and emerging trends within the coffee category to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation
Contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative, and highly iterative development environment where ideas are challenged, refined, and improved quickly
What You'll Bring
Around 5 years' experience within a product design or product development environment
A well-rounded designer/engineer mindset — creative, technical, and hands-on, with the ability to sketch, prototype, and justify ideas using sound engineering principles
Degree-level qualification in Product Design, Engineering, or a related discipline
Strong CAD capability, ideally in SolidWorks or Creo
Understanding of plastics and metal mass-production processes
Experience delivering consumer products from concept through to market
Experience within consumer electronics, kitchen appliances, or coffee products is desirable
Strong problem-solving skills with a bias for action — comfortable failing fast, learning quickly, and adapting in an iterative development environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams
