Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer to join BakerHicks, supporting the expansion of our Land Quality and Geo-Environmental capability across the UK. Whether based in London or Motherwell, you will play an important role in strengthening our regional presence. In London, this includes helping establish and grow a team. In Motherwell, you will contribute to the continued development of an expanding capability. Skills and Experience Essential Experience within a Geo-Environmental or Engineering Consultancy at Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer or equivalent level Chartered membership (SocEnv, Geological Society, CIWEM or similar) Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Applied Geology or related discipline Experience delivering Phase 1 and Phase 2 reports and risk assessments Strong understanding of ground investigation techniques and sampling methods Familiarity with current UK standards and guidance Commercial awareness including budgets and delivery timelines Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams Full UK driving licence Desirable Materials Management Plans Soil classification tools such as HazWasteOnline or WM3 Input to fee proposals Sector experience in aviation, infrastructure, nuclear or life sciences What This Role Offers Opportunity to contribute to the development of a growing Geo-Environmental team Involvement in establishing a presence in London or strengthening a team in Motherwell A mix of technical delivery, mentoring and team development Exposure to a wide range of projects across the UK   Apply If you are looking to take on a role with responsibility, variety and the opportunity to contribute to a growing team, we would like to hear from you.   Many of the positions within our company are subject to security clearance or security assurance levels.
