Location:  Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, with a current requirement of two in-office days per week, increasing to three days per week in September 2026 (subject to change) .  This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa. Team Overview: The Data Platform Management (DPM) team owns and operates EDC’s enterprise data platforms assuring they are secure, reliable, and ready to scale. We enable teams across Enterprise Data Operations & Technology and the business to access and use data with confidence, while continuously improving how our platforms are governed and run. This role intentionally blends data architecture thinking with hands‑on data platform administration , ensuring that platform solutions are both well‑architected and reliably operated . Reporting to the Manager - Data Management Platforms, the Senior Data Platform Administrator plays a critical role in shaping the technical direction of EDC’s data ecosystem while also ensuring day‑to‑day operational excellence, security, performance, and cost optimization across cloud-based data platforms. This role is ideal for a senior practitioner who is equally comfortable setting architectural direction , governing standards , and getting hands‑on to build, operate, and improve platforms at scale . What you will be doing:  Data Platform Administration & Operations ·        Design, build, configure, and operate cloud‑based data and analytics platforms supporting BI, advanced analytics, data engineering, and AI/ML workloads. ·        Lead platform lifecycle management activities, including onboarding, upgrades, scaling, decommissioning, and continuous improvement. ·        Develop and enforce platform usage, governance, and operational standards , balancing flexibility with control. ·        Implement
