About the Opportunity
A high-growth boutique management consulting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join its expanding North American team. Backed by significant investment, the firm partners with leading global organizations to solve complex operational challenges and deliver measurable business impact.
Unlike traditional strategy consultancies, the business combines strategic thinking with hands-on implementation, working alongside clients to improve performance across operations, supply chain, procurement, and organizational effectiveness. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key leadership role on engagements, owning workstreams, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior consultants while delivering lasting operational transformation.
The Role
As a Senior Consultant , you will lead critical workstreams across a diverse portfolio of transformation projects, helping clients improve operational performance and unlock sustainable value. You’ll work closely with senior client stakeholders, providing both strategic insight and practical implementation support across manufacturing, industrial, consumer, technology, transportation, and other sectors.
Typical engagements include:
• Operational improvement and business transformation initiatives
• Supply chain strategy and end-to-end transformation
• Manufacturing performance and operational excellence programmes
• Strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier negotiations
• Organizational design and operating model transformation
• Cost reduction and value creation programmes
• Commercial and operational due diligence
• Post-merger integration and implementation
Projects are typically around three months in duration, providing exposure to a broad range of industries, executive stakeholders, and business challenges.
What You’ll Do
• Lead project workstreams, ensuring high-quality delivery against client objectives and timelines.
• Manage day-to-day client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
• Lead complex quantitative analysis and financial modelling to identify operational improvement opportunities and quantify business impact.
• Develop data-driven recommendations and oversee implementation to deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Facilitate executive workshops and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership teams.
• Coach and mentor junior consultants, providing guidance throughout project delivery.
• Drive operational improvement initiatives across supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and organizational performance.
• Support business development activities, proposal development, and thought leadership where appropriate.
• Collaborate with Partners and Engagement Managers to ensure successful project execution and exceptional client outcomes.
About You
We’re looking for experienced consultants who combine strong analytical capability with proven leadership skills and a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset.
You’ll ideally have:
• 4–7+ years’ experience within a management consulting environment, with a focus on operations, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or operational transformation.
• A strong track record of leading project workstreams and delivering successful client engagements.
• Experience managing senior client stakeholders and presenting recommendations to executive audiences.
• Excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills, with confidence working with financial and operational data.
• An engineering, mathematics, operations, supply chain, economics, or similarly analytical academic background.
• Experience delivering operational improvement and implementation programmes rather than large-scale ERP implementations.
• Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
• A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor junior team members while thriving in fast-paced consulting environments.
Working Environment
The firm offers a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where consultants are empowered to take ownership and make a tangible impact. Senior Consultants play an important role in shaping engagements, developing client relationships, and contributing to the firm’s continued growth.
• Hybrid working model based in New York.
• Approximately 50% travel depending on project requirements.
• Exposure to high-profile global clients and complex operational transformation programmes.
• Clear progression towards Manager and leadership roles within a growing boutique consultancy.
• Competitive compensation package including performance bonus and comprehensive benefits
