Our goal is to become the leading integrated biomethane provider in the Nordics, playing a vital role in the energy transition. We cover the entire value chain – from feedstock sourcing to distribution and end-user sales – with a strong emphasis on heavy transport, maritime, and industrial sectors. To support this ambitious growth, we are investing over EUR 1 billion in biomethane production and distribution infrastructure across the Nordics, with several large-scale projects already in progress. Do You Want to Help Shape the Future of Sustainable Energy? St1 Biokraft is growing, and our production facilities are central to this journey. We produce sustainable biogas that helps to build a fossil-free transport sector, and we are now seeking a Process Engineer with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with existing and future production facilities and join a highly engaged engineering team that drives technology development, optimisation, and innovation. Your contribution will make a real impact – both on our business and on the transition towards a more sustainable future. The position can be based in either Malmö or Stockholm and reports to the Head of Process & Project Engineering. Key Responsibilities Participate in investment projects as a Process Engineer and/or Project Manager. Participate in or lead process optimisation initiatives at our production facilities. Support internal R&D projects and research initiatives. Contribute to continuous improvement across the organisation in collaboration with other departments. Provide technical support and process follow-up for our production facilities. Act as a mechanical engineering specialist across operational and project-related activities. About You To succeed in this role, we believe you have: * 5–10 years of engineering experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in biogas production or another process industry. * Proven ability to lead projects and drive initiatives from concept to implementation. * Experience in laboratory, pilot plant, or industrial testing environments. * An MSc in Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification. * Flexibility and willingness to undertake assignments in Sweden and internationally. * Experience with CAD software or similar engineering design tools is an advantage. Experience in industries such as biogas, energy, oil & gas, chemicals, pulp & paper, refining, or other process industries is highly valued.
