Description

As a Senior Material Artist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Art team with your specialist knowledge of material creation on a ground-breaking new IP. Supported by our Art Leadership, Technical Artists, and Scanning Artists, and leveraging the power of Unreal Engine – you will have everything needed to make world-class content. Key Duties Include Support the master material shaders design process, fostering a high standard of technical practices and artistic excellence in line with project goals.  Create and maintain complex Unreal Master Material Shaders.  Create PBR photo-realistic textures and Material Instances.  Collaborating with the Art Director and other discipline leads to drive the development and innovation of material workflows that maximise visual impact.  Establishing best practices for material creation, documentation of workflows, and the development of new tools and techniques  Working with Technical Artists and Render Engineers to optimise shader content and ensure performance targets are met  Driving research and implementation of advanced material techniques, technologies, and industry standards  Requirements Extensive experience in development, implementation, optimisation and maintenance of complex photo-realistic PBR material shaders using Unreal’s node-based editor.  Deep understanding of real-time rendering, lighting, workflows, and industry standards.  Experience in creating realistic texture libraries covering extensive material types.   Proficiency in development software and rendering tools such as Substance Painter/Designer, Max/Maya/Blender, Reality Capture etc.  A passion for problem-solving and pushing artistic boundaries  Exceptional organisational abilities.  Desirable Knowledge of photogrammetry and photography Knowledge of geology, architecture or dendrology Interest in motorsport Benefits 25 Days Holiday, plus 1 day for your birthday Studio Shutdown between Christmas and New Year Discretionary Bonus Scheme Private Pension Scheme Private Healthcare Health and Well-Being Benefits Dental Care Optical treatments Mental Health Support
