Description
Senior Manager – Tax (Pass-Through Entities) Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Compensation: $125,000 – $160,000 per year Experience: 8+ years in public accounting --- About This Opportunity This isn’t just another tax leadership role. At KnowHireMatch.com, we believe the best work happens when your expertise meets real impact. Here, you’ll step into a position where your deep knowledge of pass-through entities doesn’t just sit on a resume—it drives strategy, shapes client outcomes, and positions you for partnership. If you’re ready to trade routine for relevance, keep reading. --- What You’ll Do You’ll be the go-to subject matter expert for all things pass-through—from complex partnership structures to high-net-worth client strategies. Your day-to-day will blend technical mastery with genuine leadership: • Review and refine tax returns for pass-through entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance while identifying opportunities for optimization. • Lead tax planning and consulting engagements that go beyond compliance—helping clients navigate entity selection, distributions, and succession planning. • Collaborate closely with Partners, Directors, Senior Managers, and staff to solve nuanced pass-through issues, from basis calculations to §704(b) allocations. • Develop and mentor team members, sharing your knowledge to elevate the entire group’s technical capabilities. • Prepare for partnership—this role is designed for someone who wants to own client relationships, drive business development, and eventually sit at the table as a firm leader. You’ll work in a collaborative environment where your voice matters. Whether you’re in Pittsburgh, Florida, the New York City/New Jersey area, or Ohio, you’ll be part of a team that values your expertise and invests in your growth. --- What You Bring • 8+ years of public accounting experience, with a strong concentration in tax for pass-through entities and high-net-worth clients. • A track record of reviewing complex returns (Forms 1065, 1120-S, and related K-1s) and delivering strategic tax planning. • The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly—whether you’re advising a client on a §754 election or coaching a senior associate on §199A. • A desire to build something bigger than a checklist: you want to grow into a partnership role and help shape the firm’s future. --- Why This Role Stands Out You won’t be buried in spreadsheets all day. You’ll be the person people turn to when the answer isn’t obvious. You’ll have the autonomy to design solutions, the support to develop your team, and the path to partnership that’s real, not just a talking point. If you’re ready to lead with purpose and leave the generic behind, let’s talk.
