Description
Catapult is a sports performance technology company that empowers professional teams with data-driven insights through wearable and stadium infrastructure products. This role is a Senior Manager of Global Manufacturing based in Taiwan, responsible for leading manufacturing operations, building and managing engineering teams, overseeing new product introduction processes, and implementing best-practice production systems across global manufacturing partners.
What You'll Do
• Lead manufacturing operations at Catapult, build relationships with electronic manufacturing services (EMS) partners and suppliers, and drive continuous improvement in production processes and product quality.
• Oversee new product introduction (NPI) project management from prototype through mass production (EVT/DVT/PVT/MP stages), including planning, execution, stakeholder reporting, and schedule management.
• Monitor and control costs for NPI including bill of materials, test equipment, R&D jigs, production tooling, and third-party testing and certification.
• Maintain communication with global teams across supply chain, logistics, support, product, and multidisciplinary engineering (ID, ME, EE, FW) to ensure alignment.
• Provide technical leadership for the Taiwan-based engineering team, lead technical processes and strategy, and recruit, manage, and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team with career development support.
What You Need
• 10+ years of experience working with electronic manufacturing services (EMS) and engineering teams designing products for manufacture, scaling production, and supporting products throughout their lifecycle.
• 5+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams.
• Demonstrated experience managing at least 5 projects through the new product introduction (NPI) process from sample stage to mass production, including ME/EE/FW integration products with scale between 10,000–100,000 pieces per year.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes for electronic products, including design and development of tooling (particularly injection molding), production jigs, and work instructions.
• Experience with products utilizing common wireless communications protocols such as BLE, Wi-Fi, UWB, and long-range/low bit-rate applications.
• Basic knowledge of firmware development and embedded Linux systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and Mandarin Chinese, with experience communicating with manufacturers, multidisciplinary technical teams, and product management.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
