Description
Harbor is seeking a Senior Manager, Data & AI Strategy to join our growing team.  Our team partners with law firms to drive data modernization strategies that support business transformation, innovation, and AI readiness. As Senior Manager, you will lead strategic client initiatives focused on improving data architecture, operational insights, and practice data enablement across the legal ecosystem.   You will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, helping them develop how they manage, structure, and utilize their data. You will lead teams, mentor professionals, and serve as a subject matter expert at the intersection of data, technology, and legal business operations. You’ll also play an important role in growing Harbor’s thought leadership and presence in the market through presentations, contributions to solution development, and collaboration with colleagues across teams.   This is a full-time, remote position open to candidates based in the United States or Canada.   Job Duties + Responsibilities:   Lead client engagements focused on data and AI strategy, modernization, and governance, with an emphasis on legal and professional services organizations   Communicate complex strategies and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including internal and external stakeholders   Design solutions that support centralized enterprise data for people, organizations, and matters   Define and lead initiatives that structure, capture, and analyze practice-level data, collaborating closely with attorneys and business teams   Deliver hands-on support and strategic guidance around tools such as data catalogs, MDM platforms, data lakes/warehouses, BI solutions and AI technologies Support legal AI enablement efforts through curated data initiatives and AI/analytics project design   Present Harbor’s vision and client solutions at executive-level meetings and industry events   Collaborate across Harbor teams to build integrated, multidisciplinary solutions for clients   Mentor junior team members, supporting career development and fostering a culture of excellence and curiosity   Guide teams through process improvement initiatives, contributing to the design and implementation of new standards and solutions   Communicate complex strategies and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including internal and external stakeholders   May lead cross-functional teams and external collaborators to support successful strategy implementation and adoption   Manage project delivery in alignment with project scope and available resources.    Qualifications:   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or certifications in business, data, or technology-related fields preferred   Minimum 10 years of experience in legal or professional services organizations, with significant client-facing responsibility   Practical knowledge of executing strategies, managing teams, and overseeing projects within a data-focused function   Strong understanding of how legal organizations use data to support operational performance and business decision-making   Demonstrated experience with enterprise data strategies, including people, client, and matter data domains   Familiarity with legal business services, law firm practice group operations, and/or corporate legal department functions   Strong written and verbal co
