Description
Your Responsibilities Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Linux servers and operating systems. Manage and support Red Hat, CentOS, and Fedora environments. Perform operating system updates, patching, and lifecycle management. Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity. Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents and technical issues. Support software deployments and upgrades in production environments. Maintain and improve system documentation and operational procedures. Manage virtualized environments using VMware technologies. Provide second-line technical support for servers and infrastructure components. Participate in production releases, maintenance windows, and go-live activities. Manage user access, permissions, and system security settings. Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures. Proactively identify security risks and recommend mitigation actions. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure stable operations.
Technical Skills Strong experience with Linux administration, preferably Red Hat, CentOS, and Fedora. Good knowledge of system hardening and IT security best practices. Experience with server patching and maintenance. Good understanding of networking concepts, including: TCP/IP DNS VPN Firewalls Routing and switching Experience with monitoring tools and infrastructure troubleshooting. Knowledge of VMware ESXi and vCenter. Experience supporting enterprise server environments. Familiarity with scripting using Bash, Python, or similar technologies. Nice to Have Experience with Nagios or Zabbix. Knowledge of databases. Experience with Git. Understanding of application hosting environments. Experience working in highly available or critical production environments. Required Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer. Experience managing enterprise Linux environments.
