We autonomously identify opportunities to solve public problems using tech, rapidly prototype, and launch solutions—from citizen apps to automating public agency operations. The Team You will be joining the HealthTech team, dedicated to improving healthcare in Singapore through technology. We tackle highly impactful problems by building products that enhance efficiency, coordination, and patient outcomes across the healthcare ecosystem. Our work involves creating solutions that improve patient care planning and management for medical social workers (e.g. Care360 ), facilitate the prompt delivery of critical healthcare notifications (e.g. Rooster ), and increase vaccination and cancer screening rates (e.g. HAS ). You'll collaborate within a high-performing team, passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex challenges and make a tangible difference in the lives of citizens and healthcare professionals. About the Role We're looking for a passionate Senior / Lead Software Engineer to join our growing HealthTech team. You will play a key role in building and scaling technology solutions that address significant challenges in Singapore's healthcare landscape. This role requires you to be a versatile full-stack engineer , comfortable working across different parts of our systems – from frontend interfaces to backend logic and infrastructure. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers in a fast-paced, startup-like environment within the public sector, transforming user needs and product goals into high-quality, impactful software. Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable, high-quality, secure software across the tech stack and write production-ready code. Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver user-centric solutions for the healthtech sector. Identify, prioritize, and implement technical solutions ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of our healthtech products. Champion best practices in software development (including testing, code reviews, CI/CD) and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Rapidly prototype and iterate on features based on user feedback and product goals. Contribute to technical discussions and decision-making within the team. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Proficient in TypeScript, React, and AWS; experience with Next.js or NestJS is a plus. Knowledge in working with RDBMS (ideally PostgreSQL). Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and well-documented REST APIs. Experience with secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC), including CI/CD processes, Git, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and deploying applications to cloud environments. Experience working as a full-stack engineer, comfortable contributing across the entire technology stack. Experience in startups or fast-paced environments; proven ability to succeed in dynamic settings and manage shifting priorities. Excellent communication skills for articulating technical concepts and ideas effectively. A strong passion for public service and specifically for improving the healthtech sector through technology. Experience or demonstrated interest in the HealthTech domain is a plus. Experience in technical leadership, guiding software teams, and setting high standards while mentoring engineers.
