Are you a LabVIEW Software Engineer looking for a role where your code directly controls real-world hardware and solves genuinely complex engineering challenges?
We're looking for a Senior LabVIEW Software Engineer to help develop the software behind advanced precision measurement systems used by leading global technology organisations.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of software, electronics, control systems, instrumentation and physics , developing high-performance applications that acquire, process and analyse vast quantities of measurement data in real time.

What you'll be doing
Developing LabVIEW Real-Time software for data acquisition, control systems and hardware communication
Building and enhancing FPGA functionality using LabVIEW FPGA and NI FlexRIO platforms
Creating high-speed data processing pipelines and control algorithms
Developing robust communication between FPGA and Real-Time environments using DMA and synchronisation techniques
Writing clean, maintainable and scalable production software
Supporting software architecture and technical decision-making
Contributing to code reviews and engineering best practice
Developing automated testing capability and supporting continuous integration activities
Working closely with physicists, systems engineers and R&D teams to transform concepts into production-ready solutions
Supporting software verification on simulation environments and physical hardware
Mentoring colleagues and helping raise engineering standards across the team
We're particularly interested in people with experience in
LabVIEW
LabVIEW Real-Time (RT)
National Instruments (NI) PXI platforms
Data acquisition systems
Measurement and control systems
Scientific instrumentation
Automation systems
Precision engineering environments
FPGA-based hardware and embedded systems
Essential experience
Commercial experience developing LabVIEW applications
Experience developing software for hardware-controlled or real-time environments
Experience working with FPGA-based systems or a strong interest in developing deeper FPGA expertise
NI PXI, Real-Time controllers or similar hardware platforms
Software architecture, maintainable code development and engineering best practice
Git, code reviews and collaborative software development
Debugging complex systems spanning software and hardware
Nice to have
LabVIEW FPGA
Python for automation, scripting or data analysis
Digital signal processing (DSP)
Control systems and PID tuning
Semiconductor equipment or advanced manufacturing environments
Optical, photonics or precision measurement systems
Automated testing and continuous integration
