Description
Revolution Medicines is a late-stage clinical oncology company developing novel targeted therapies for patients with RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins. The company’s RAS(ON) inhibitors daraxonrasib (RMC-6236), a RAS(ON) multi-selective inhibitor; elironrasib (RMC-6291), a RAS(ON) G12C-selective inhibitor; zoldonrasib (RMC-9805), a RAS(ON) G12D-selective inhibitor; and RMC-5127, a RAS(ON) G12V-selective inhibitor, are currently in clinical development. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway. The Opportunity:
As a member of the Automation Engineering team, you will contribute to the team with accountability for the following:
Develop and maintain automation methods using laboratory control platforms such as Tecan FluentControl, Hamilton Venus, Agilent VWorks, HighRes Cellario Scheduler, and Beckman Coulter Tempo/Echo.
Demonstrated experience independently developing, deploying, and supporting complex laboratory automation workflows.
Experience leading technical projects involving laboratory automation platforms from requirements gathering through production implementation.
Provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for automated laboratory instrumentation and integrated automation systems to ensure reliable day-to-day operations.
Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, software, and system integration issues to minimize equipment downtime and maintain operational continuity.
Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities, including equipment upgrades, modifications, and validation support.
Execute installation, testing, and validation activities to verify equipment performance, accuracy, reliability, and laboratory stability.
Coordinate issue triage with vendors and external service providers while maintaining accurate equipment records, maintenance logs, and validation documentation.
Train end users on laboratory automation systems and contribute to process improvements, operational initiatives, and innovations that enhance laboratory efficiency.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, scientific discipline, or a related field.
7+ years of relevant experience including service or support role.
Experience with laboratory instrumentation and automation systems.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of discovery chemistry lab workflows including compound management and HTS.
Extensive experience developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing liquid handling platforms including Tecan Fluent, Hamilton STAR/Vantage, Echo, and integrated laboratory automation systems.
Extensive experience developing production-ready automation methods using Tecan FluentControl, Hamilton VENUS, HighRes Cellario Scheduler, Agilent VWorks, or comparable automation software platforms.
Experience evaluating automation technologies and influencing laboratory automation strategy.
Familiarity with source control, scripting (Python, C#, or similar), and software engineering best practices for laboratory automation.
