Description The Senior Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting financial reporting processes. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal policies, while providing analytical support to management. Responsibilities • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts • Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and internal policies • Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies or variances • Support external and internal audit processes • Monitor accounts payable and receivable activities • Improve accounting procedures and internal controls • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s or CPA/ACCA is a plus) • 4–6+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems • Advanced Excel skills • High attention to detail and accuracy • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Experience with IFRS reporting • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance • Experience in process improvement and automation • Leadership or mentoring experience
