Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer - Regeneration | Manchester / North WestSalary: £50,000-£60,000 + Car Allowance + healthy BonusLocation: Manchester, Ellesmere Port, North West England Geo-environmental engineer jobs don't get much more interesting than this.We're hiring a Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer with a strong contaminated land and remediation background for one of the UK's leading regeneration contractors. Based in the North West, you'll be working on some of the most technically complex remediation projects in the country - including a major PFAS remediation scheme in Manchester and a former oil refinery and petrochemical site at Ellesmere Port.The RoleThis senior geo-environmental engineer position sits at the heart of live project delivery. You'll be involved across the full project lifecycle - Phase 1 desk studies through to Phase 4 validation - with a focus on complex contaminated land assessment, PFAS remediation, groundwater investigation, remediation strategy development, and technical report writing.Unlike a traditional consultancy role, you'll be contractor-side, meaning real ownership of projects on the ground, direct client and regulator liaison, and a clear path into a Technical Manager position as you develop.Current projects include:PFAS remediation in Manchester Former oil refinery and petrochemical remediationMajor regeneration schemes across the UKWhat We're Looking For4+ years experience in geo-environmental or contaminated land rolesStrong technical background from Phase 1 through to validation reportingExperience with PFAS assessment or emerging contaminants highly desirableExposure to soil treatment facilities advantageousConfident technical report writer with experience of regulatory submissionsDegree qualified in Environmental Science, Geography, Geology or related disciplineWorking towards or holding chartership (CGeol, CEnv, CIWEM) desirableFull UK driving licence requiredThe Package£50,000-£60,000 base salaryCar allowance10-20% performance-related bonusGenuine progression to Technical ManagerThis is a role for someone who wants to be challenged, rewarded above consultancy rates, and build a career on projects that matter.To apply or find out more, contact Cory Taylor at Calibre Search.Calibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
