Description
Gigantic Playground, a creative technology agency, seeks a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to drive technological innovation for client projects, primarily in the business-to-consumer sector. You will design and implement production-ready interactive experiences, from prototyping through deployment, while collaborating across internal, client, and partner teams.
What You'll Do
• Craft cutting-edge interactive experiences and explore technology solutions for client projects
• Lead the development process, solution design, and implementation to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery
• Provide effort estimates and solution proposals for customer requirements, with occasional sales-oriented perspectives
• Conduct technical discovery sessions with clients and internal stakeholders, and present solutions to business stakeholders
• Research emerging technologies, identify vendors and resources, and promote knowledge sharing to support team and client growth
• Collaborate on creating prototypes and proofs-of-concept for rapid learning and validation
What You Need
• 5+ years of industry experience in full-stack development (REST APIs, backend, database modeling, CI/CD, web UX/UI, HTML/CSS, mobile responsive)
• Broad programming skills including NodeJS, JavaScript, SQL, C#, Java, Swift, and Kotlin
• Expertise with React or Vue for web UI and associated tools like Webpack
• Proficiency in Linux or macOS command-line tools and Bash shell scripting
• Experience with cloud infrastructure providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and Docker/container technologies
• Strong expertise in automated testing, unit testing, and designing highly reliable, fault-tolerant systems
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems management, another engineering discipline, or equivalent field experience
• Experience with databases, infrastructure as code, and cloud-first solutions
• Client-facing experience with consultative focus in agency or business consulting environments
• Strong presentation and communication skills, and proficiency with ALM tools (Jira, TeamCity, TFS, Git)
• Understanding of agile principles including scrum and backlog management
Nice to Have
• 7+ years of industry experience preferred
• Expertise with platforms like RabbitMQ, MongoDB, and ExpressJS
• Experience with mobile technologies including Flutter, React Native, Swift, and Kotlin
• Background in test-driven design
• Advanced DevOps and cloud CI/CD experience with Ansible and extensive container deployments at scale
