Description
About GoCharting GoCharting is a web-native charting and trading workflow platform with institutional-grade orderflow and DOM tools — footprint/cluster charts, volume/market profile, cumulative delta, imbalance charts, DOM trading. We are the only platform that delivers these capabilities fully on the web. Comparable to TradingView for general charting, but differentiated as the leader in the professional orderflow niche. PE-acquired and funded in 2025, profitable, 3M+ registered traders globally, with a mandate to scale 10x over 4 years. The Role This is a senior, hands-on role for an engineer who can walk into a complex, data-dense web product and start shipping. You will work directly with the CEO across core platform and core products — the live trading terminal, the charting experience, the SDK, and the product roadmap that we have more ambition for than capacity to deliver. We need a force-multiplier: someone very senior, plugged into financial services, who hits the ground running and unblocks the roadmap rather than waiting to be told what matters. You will be primarily a frontend engineer — our terminal is a sophisticated, real-time, canvas-driven React application — but full-stack capable, comfortable reaching into the backend and APIs when a feature needs it. You will move across our codebases: the established trading terminal, the newer product monorepo, and the charting SDK. In year one, success looks like meaningful product and SDK work shipped, a faster and more reliable frontend, and a CEO who is no longer the bottleneck on the things he wants to build. What you'll do • Ship across core platform and core products — the real-time trading terminal, charting, and the product features on the roadmap, owning them from idea to production • Work on the SDK — the charting/platform SDK that powers our own product and partner/white-label use, including its developer-facing surface and contracts • Build for performance and real-time — data-dense, canvas/visualization-heavy, WebSocket-driven UIs that stay fast under live market data • Operate full-stack when needed — reach into the Go backend and the REST/WebSocket APIs to land a feature end-to-end rather than stopping at the frontend boundary • Move across our codebases — the established terminal (React) and the newer product monorepo (modern React + SSR, internationalized), bringing consistency and quality with you • Be a senior multiplier — make sharp technical calls with little hand-holding, raise the bar on the frontend, and unblock the CEO's product ambitions What we're looking for Must-haves: • 7–10 years frontend engineering , with very senior React depth — you've owned large, complex, stateful applications and you know how to keep them fast and maintainable • Strong TypeScript and modern frontend architecture • Full-stack capable — comfortable in a backend (we run Go) and working directly with REST and WebSocket APIs; you don't stop at the UI boundary • Plugged into financial services / trading — you understand the domain (charts, market data, orderflow, the trader's workflow) and can hit the ground running, not ramp for a quarter • Performance and real-time chops — experience with data-dense, real-time, or visualization-heavy UIs (canvas/D3/WebGL a strong plus) • High autonomy — you can own an ambiguous product/SDK surface and drive it without a fully-specced ticket • In-person in our Chennai office Nice-to-haves: • Charting / data visualization at depth — canvas, D3, WebGL, custom rendering • SDK / developer-facing library work — you've built something other developers build on • Real-time WebSocket UIs and client-side data management at scale • Monorepo tooling (Nx) and internationalization (i18n) at scale • Prior work inside a trading platform, broker, or fintech frontend • Top-tier Indian institution (IIT/NIT/IIM) — nice-to-have, not a gate Logistics Location Chennai, India — in-person (office-based) Employment type Full-Time Entity ProCharting Pvt Ltd (India) Travel Minimal Start date ASAP Reports to Sushanta Deb, CEO (Product & Experience — Client Engineering)
