Job Description
Responsible for the end-to-end management of Cognex’s European vehicle fleet (~200 vehicles across 18+ countries) , combining hands-on operations with ownership of cost, suppliers, policy, and performance. The role ensures the fleet is managed efficiently, accurately, and cost-effectively, with strong financial control.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the full vehicle lifecycle (order → delivery → in-life management → return), including orders, renewals, returns, inspections, and damage handling
• Act as the primary point of contact for drivers and fleet suppliers , managing all queries and issues
• Maintain accurate fleet records, contracts, and vehicle data , ensuring alignment with financial and payroll systems
• Manage relationships with leasing and rental providers (e.g. ALD Automotive, Arval), ensuring delivery in line with agreed terms and service levels
• Own the review, validation, and approval of all fleet supplier invoices , ensuring:
• Accuracy against contracted rates
• Correct application of lease, damage, and service charges
• Proper coding to cost centres and GL accounts
• Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing and payment
• Maintain and reconcile fleet cost data (leases, damages, usage), supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking
• Identify cost trends and drive cost control and savings initiatives
• Own and maintain the European Fleet Policy , ensuring compliance and alignment with business needs
• Ensure data accuracy and reporting on fleet cost, usage, and performance across countries
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• Strong operational, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong financial and analytical capability (cost control, invoice validation)
• Experience managing suppliers and contracts
• Ability to balance hands-on execution with ownership and accountability
• High attention to detail; ability to manage complexity across countries
• Strong internal stakeholder communication skills across multiple countries are essential
