Description
The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) hosts world-class education and research programmes in organic and inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, chemical engineering, bioengineering and process engineering and synthetic chemistry. We aim to nurture future-ready graduates with the ability to tackle new challenges in chemicals manufacturing, healthcare, energy, food, and other important sectors.
We are seeking a Senior Executive, Facilities and Operations to support the effective running of its facilities, infrastructure and operational functions.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and monitor routine and ad-hoc facilities maintenance works, liaising with vendors and contractors to ensure issues are resolved promptly and service standards are met.
• Coordinate infrastructure-related improvement projects and renovations, including space-related modifications, to minimise disruption to staff and students.
• Plan and manage office and cubicle space allocation, analyse space utilisation, and recommend optimisation measures to meet growing demand from faculty and postgraduate students.
• Support safety-related initiatives, including emergency coordination and contractor management, to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and digitalise workflows, and recommend cost-effective solutions for facilities operations.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Diploma in facilities management or a related field.
• At least 3 to 5 years of working experience in facilities, infrastructure or operations management.
• Prior experience in a tertiary education institution setting and/or space planning or utilisation analysis will be advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with vendors, contractors and internal teams.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
