Accept Close ABOUT US AUSTRALIAN LOCATIONS WHY JOIN US NEW TO MINING ABOUT US AUSTRALIAN LOCATIONS WHY JOIN US NEW TO MINING Senior Engineer : Mine Production Date: 4 Aug 2026 Location: Agnew - Leinster, WA, AU, 6437 Company: Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd Job Req ID: 71122 • 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth • Industry leading employee benefits • Permanent role with exposure to world-class mines The Opportunity Reporting to the Technical Services Manager at Agnew, you will facilitate the safe and optimal extraction of gold from underground mining operations. In compliance with site environmental and safety standards, you will be responsible for all mining aspects, including the development and implementation of plans aligned with short to medium term planning targets. Why You'll Love Working With Us • Permanent role with a leading gold producer • 6% site allowance, plus short-term and long-term incentive bonuses • Monthly private health insurance allowance • $10k employee referral bonus What You'll Do • Develop and implement weekly, monthly, and quarterly production plans in line with operational targets • Manage stope design and drill and blast planning to minimise dilution and maximise recovery • Develop, implement, and record mine information to support safe and economic delivery of targets • Prepare end of month reports and ensure compliance reporting • Reconcile mined plan versus actual to identify areas for improvement • Lead the production and operational mining teams, ensuring goal alignment through clear communication, including coordinating the training and mentoring of Production and Graduate Engineers • Identify risks and threats to target delivery, and develop and manage programs to eliminate or minimise them • Contribute to business and cultural improvement initiatives that lift performance and growth, encouraging team participation and helping remove barriers to success • Promote continuous improvement within the Technical Services Department • Monitor and report on Actual vs. Schedule and Budget performance (physicals and costs) • Act as Deputy Underground Manager when required What You'll Bring • WA First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency (desirable) • Degree qualification in Mining Engineering • Supervisory or management training • Experience mentoring and developing a team of mining engineers • Solid underground engineering experience across all production phases, preferably in gold • Valid manual driver's licence • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mining software; experience with Deswik highly regarded About Gold Fields At Gold Fields, we believe great leadership is grounded in empathy, respect, and growth.
