Design and develop embedded systems management solutions for on-premises hardware platforms. This role involves creating OTA update procedures, automated device management processes, security primitives, and monitoring infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows. What You'll Do • Design OTA update and configuration procedures for embedded systems including RF subsystems, lasers and cameras • Develop automated management processes for first- and third-party embedded devices • Consult with security teams to design security primitives specific to on-premises hardware and embedded devices • Build and optimize monitoring, alerting, and performance metrics systems for development and production environments • Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment efficiency What You Need • 5+ years of post-degree professional experience maintaining large-scale distributed systems • Familiarity with MicroTCA, VPX/OpenVPX, ATCA, CompactPCI Serial, PXIe, or other high-performance embedded systems form factors and interconnect standards • Experience with on-premises hardware services, including virtualization and containerization management solutions such as Proxmox VE, Docker and Podman • Experience with OTA update workflows, firmware deployment processes, and secure device update protocols • Experience with Yocto Linux or compiling Linux distributions, kernel modules, and device drivers Nice to Have • BS or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree • Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions
