Key Accountabilities: • Deliver transmission and distribution design tasks in accordance with approved standards, authority requirements (e.g. RTA, DEWA, TAQA), and project schedules, ensuring high technical quality and compliance. • Coordinate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, internal design team, utility authorities, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical, roadway, and utility designs and timely closure of approvals and interfaces. • Support the technical and commercial performance of projects by contributing to efficient design solutions, risk management, authority negotiations, and value-driven outcomes for clients and the business. Key Activities: • Prepare and review design documents for transmission and distribution systems, including MV/LV cables, substations, road lighting, traffic signals, and ITS infrastructure. • Coordinate and deliver designs in compliance with RTA, DEWA, TAQA, DU, Etisalat, and other relevant authority standards and approval processes. • Undertake road lighting and traffic signal design in accordance with CIE standards, Dubai regulations, and project-specific requirements. • Support the design and coordination of 132kV transmission lines and towers, including OHTL clearances, ROW considerations, and interface management. • Manage utility coordination, power supply applications, NOCs, and building permit submissions through all project phases. • Review and specify cable installation methods, including direct-buried installations, duct banks, HDD, and thrust boring crossings. • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (roads, structures, drainage, ITS, telecoms) to ensure fully integrated and constructible solutions. • Assist in project planning, risk management, and technical reviews to ensure projects meet scope, budget, quality, and schedule objectives. • Prepare and contribute to technical reports, specifications, tender documents, and proposals for transmission and distribution projects. • Provide technical guidance and leadership, support knowledge sharing within the team, and maintain strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
