Title: Senior DSP Sales Partner
Location: Sydney, Australia
Reports to: Head of DSP Sales
A little about us
The Yahoo Commercial team drives programmatic growth and strategic partnerships across leading agencies, trading desks, and brand advertisers. Operating out of Sydney, our DSP Sales team connects partners with market-leading omnichannel media, proprietary audience data, and cutting-edge ad technology to deliver measurable business outcomes.
About the Role
As Yahoo continues to evolve its DSP Sales capability, this role takes end-to-end ownership of a defined agency patch, driving growth through deep, connected partnerships across agency, trading desk, and client teams. This is a high-accountability, high-ownership role suited to a commercially minded seller who thrives on autonomy, collaboration, continuous learning, and operating in an evolving, AI-augmented commercial environment.
The Senior DSP Sales Partner is responsible for growing revenue, building trusted market relationships, and translating client objectives into scalable, insight-led DSP and omnichannel solutions. The role operates independently with minimal guidance, leads strategic workstreams, and serves as a mentor for less experienced colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
• Own an agency patch end-to-end: Take full accountability for revenue, pipeline, and client activity across an assigned agency patch. Build trusted partnerships across agency, trading desk, and client stakeholders to deliver long-term growth with strong commercial discipline.
• Drive Yahoo DSP & omnichannel growth: Proactively respond to agency briefs across Yahoo DSP and omnichannel offerings (CTV, DOOH, Audio, Video, Display, Native). Identify and pursue new business opportunities through structured prospecting and lead generation.
• Accelerate pitch execution with AI: Utilize enterprise AI tools to streamline market research, pitch deck drafting, and client brief responses, delivering highly customized, insight-led proposals with greater speed and quality.
• Lead strategic solutions for clients: Collaborate with Solutions, Data, Product Strategy, and Supply specialists to translate client goals into measurable DSP strategies. Integrate Yahoo data, proprietary insights, and innovations—including Blueprint, Backstage, Unified Screens, and Agentic AI —to build value-led client proposals.
• Negotiate, execute, and deliver: Build strategic recommendations and performance-led media plans in partnership with cross-functional specialists. Negotiate commercial outcomes with supply partners and collaborate with Solutions teams to ensure campaign performance meets client objectives.
• Apply AI-driven analytical thinking: Leverage AI-enabled analytics and reporting workflows to evaluate patch yield, identify growth opportunities, and optimize revenue forecasting. Stay close to programmatic industry trends across measurement, privacy, supply, and emerging AI technologies.
• Drive operational efficiency: Identify manual or repetitive pitch and reporting tasks within the patch workflow and implement AI-assisted automations to optimize day-to-day productivity.
• Show ownership and leadership (IC3): Work independently with minimal direction across commercial responsibilities. Lead targeted projects within broader team priorities, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute positively to team capability in alignment with Yahoo values ( We Are a Purple Village, We Keep It Real, We Build with Intent, We Bring Our Best Selves ).
Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in digital advertising and programmatic sales with a proven track record of driving revenue growth across agency networks.
• Established agency and trading desk relationships in the Australian market with a demonstrated ability to leverage network ties to generate commercial opportunities.
• Proven ability to operate independently with minimal guidance, manage complex sales pipelines, and serve as a resource for team members (IC3 level).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and commercial skills with the ability to articulate complex tech and data capabilities clearly.
• Hands-on experience or demonstrated proficiency using AI tools (e.g., Gemini, AI assistants) to accelerate commercial research, pitch development, or partner communications.
• Openness to continuous learning and comfort operating in an evolving, tech-forward, AI-augmented sales environment.
• Located in or willing to work from Sydney, Australia.
Preferred Qualifications
• Deep experience across omnichannel programmatic channels (CTV, DOOH, Audio) and programmatic platform features (DSPs, SSPs, Clean Rooms).
• Experience evaluating and refining AI-generated data insights or pitch content to ensure strategic quality and brand alignment.
