[What you will be working on]
As a Senior Designer in the Science Centre Board IT and Innovation Department, you will own the design of visitor-facing digital experiences and supporting digital solutions across Science Centre Singapore. You will shape cohesive digital experiences that support visitors throughout their journey, from discovery and pre-visit planning to onsite engagement and post-visit follow-up. You will lead the design of intuitive and seamless user experiences across multiple digital products. Working closely with product managers and vendors, you will address complex design challenges while ensuring solutions remain practical to implement across different systems and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Visitor Experience Design
Own the end-to-end design of digital experiences across the Science Centre visitor journey, from discovery and pre-visit planning through onsite engagement to post-visit follow-up.
Ensure design consistency and a seamless visitor experience across digital touchpoints delivered by multiple vendor systems.
Research, Discovery, and Continuous Design Improvement
Plan and conduct user research using appropriate methodologies to understand visitor needs, behaviours and pain points across the visitor journey.
Analyse and synthesise research findings and visitor analytics to guide design decisions and validate proposed solutions.
Design and produce wireframes, user flows and low- to high-fidelity prototypes using tools such as Figma, leveraging Gen AI tools where appropriate to accelerate ideation and prototyping, and iteratively refine designs based on feedback from users and stakeholders.
Plan and conduct structured usability testing of prototypes to gather actionable insights and improve design quality, usability and overall user experience.
Establish Design Standards and Ensure Compliance
Establish and evolve digital design standards, best practices and guidelines for Science Centre digital solutions.
Ensure designs meet accessibility standards as well as government compliance requirements across relevant digital touchpoints.
Review implemented designs to ensure alignment with design standards and intended experience prior to release.
Stakeholder and Delivery Collaboration
