Description
NetBox Labs is a commercial steward of open-source NetBox, a network source of truth platform, and Orb, an open-source network observability platform. As a Senior Customer Support Engineer, you will be the technical partner for enterprise customers, owning their support experience end-to-end while building deep relationships and driving adoption of NetBox and related products.
What You'll Do
• Build deep familiarity with each customer's environment, goals, and constraints; participate in architecture reviews, planning sessions, and business reviews
• Diagnose, reproduce, and resolve technical issues across installation, configuration, integrations, plugins, and upgrades while meeting SLAs
• Own the full post-sale technical lifecycle including onboarding, version upgrades, and ongoing deployment health management
• Surface customer feedback and feature requests to Product with actionable context; build runbooks and troubleshooting guides to reduce repeat escalations
• Collaborate with TechOps on deep technical escalations and custom customer needs; identify patterns in support volume and propose process improvements
What You Need
• NetBox, DCIM, IPAM, and core networking concepts
• Docker with Compose and GitHub or GitLab
• SQL, PostgreSQL, CSV, and JSON processing
• SSH, Linux command line, and shell scripting
• Python, pip, REST APIs
Nice to Have
• Network engineering fundamentals, device modeling, and automation workflows
• NetBox plugins, integrations, and Django framework experience
• Kubernetes management and troubleshooting (kubectl)
• Observability tooling including Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
• SSO flows (OIDC, OAuth, SAML) and Linux performance and network troubleshooting
• Async messaging and webhooks including Kafka, MQTT, AMQP, and AWS SNS
