Our Commodities and Energy Trading practice are looking for Consultants to Managers to join the team.    Our commodities and energy trading focused team operates across all major energy companies and utilities. We work with clients to help them translate strategy into action, to enter new markets, build new trading capabilities, and to revolutionize their trading businesses and IT landscapes. We’re looking for people to join our growing team who have a passion for commodity and energy trading. What you will be doing As part of our team, you will work closely with clients on a variety of challenging and high-impact engagements, including: Shaping a new model for power trading:  Create a comprehensive business operating model and target architecture for a successful merger of two power trading organisations. Opening up a new power market:  Develop and implement custom trading tools, processes and strategies, enabling a utility to effectively compete in a newly restructured national power trading market. Business restructuring : Designing and implementing operating models for complex global organizations that cover the full trading and commodity lifecycle. Digital Transformation:  Working with clients to mature their digital capabilities and embed ML and AI into their architectures, including improving commercial decision-making and trader decision support tooling in use. Trading solution transformations : Leading implementations, upgrades, and system selections for market-leading trading organizations, including new and innovative products.     Your skills and experience   A well-rounded candidate should demonstrate a balance of strengths and experience across the following key areas: Education:  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering or related field. Experience:  Internships (graduates welcome) or up to five years of experience in consulting or a relevant industry role, including exposure to Commodities & Energy Trading initiatives. Energy & Power Trading:  A strong understanding of power markets and trading mechanisms (e.g. day‑ahead, intraday/real‑time, bilateral and OTC markets), including how electricity prices are formed.
