Responsibilities
Commercial Transactions & Strategy
Negotiate high-stakes technology, SaaS, payor, and strategic partnership agreements
Audit existing commercial relationships to improve terms and align with evolving data strategies
Build the "Legal Engine"—creating contracting templates, playbooks, and fallback frameworks
Privacy & Data Governance
Oversee compliance with HIPAA/HITECH, CCPA/CPRA, and state health privacy laws
Lead the legal response for privacy incidents and manage notification obligations
Product Counseling
Advise Charlie Health’s product teams on patient-facing and internal tools, including AI-enabled tools and automated features. Issues range from HIPAA and state privacy laws, AI notice and bias laws, AKS, FCA and other fraud and abuse laws
Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Designers, and Data teams to review product roadmaps, feature specifications, and design mockups for legal and regulatory risk
Develop and implement Charlie Health’s intellectual property strategy, including trade secret protection, copyright compliance, and patent planning
Create and maintain policies governing open-source software use and AI tools, including rules around data inputs, confidentiality, and ownership of AI-generated content
Marketing & Advertising
Review marketing and advertising materials for compliance with FTC guidance, privacy laws, healthcare regulati
