Reports to : EVP, Business Development Salary : $80,000–$90,000
About the Role
News Revenue Hub is seeking a Senior Business Operations Manager to serve as the operational engine of the Business Development team during a critical period of growth and transition. This is a new role at the Hub — a senior individual contributor role with supervisory responsibility, designed for an experienced operations leader who is equally comfortable building systems as they are engaging with the business.
The Senior Business Operations Manager owns NRH’s operational infrastructure — from CRM strategy and pipeline management to contract operations and cross-functional coordination. Success in this role means that Business Development leadership can focus entirely on high-value revenue work, confident that the operational foundation beneath them is reliable, well-documented, and continuously improving.
This role requires someone with a track record of building complex operational systems end-to-end, exercising independent judgment in fast-moving environments, and leading others toward clear operational outcomes. You will work closely with the EVP of Business Development and, as needed, the CEO.
Core Responsibilities
Sales Operations & Pipeline Management
Own NRH’s Salesforce CRM as a strategic tool:
Design, build, and maintain the business pipeline as the authoritative source of truth for Business Development leadership
Directly supervise the BizDev Administrator (part-time), setting clear priorities and quality standards for data entry, reporting, and pipeline maintenance
Develop dashboards and reports that give leadership real-time visibility into pipeline health, close rates, and revenue forecasts
Lead integration efforts between Salesforce and other organizational tools (Jira, Google Drive, etc.) in partnership with the EVP
Lead the full proposal development cycle:
Conduct client research, competitive benchmarking, and proposal scoping independently
Develop and refine pitch decks, proposals, and supporting materials to a high standard
Lead sales calls for high ARR clients; attend and actively support sales calls alongside the EVP as needed; take ownership of follow-up and next steps.
Contracts & Client Operations
Manage client contracts, renewals, and amendments with a high degree of accuracy
Support partnership transitions and other strategic relationships
Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping across all client engagements
Coordinate with consulting leadership to ensure smooth client onboarding
Internal Operations & Strategic Process Improvement
This role is expected to go beyond maintaining existing processes — you will own the operational roadmap:
Develop and own a 6–12 month operational roadmap for Business Development, including system improvement milestones, documentation goals, and Salesforce maturity targets
Contribute to annual planning by providing operational data, capacity assessments, and recommendations for team efficiency investments
Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies before they become bottlenecks — bring solutions, not just problems
Ensure all key processes are documented, consistently followed, and regularly reviewed
Drive cross-team alignment across Sales, Consulting, and Insights on shared operational priorities
Leadership Support
Serve as the primary operational point of contact for the EVP of Business Development and, as needed, the CEO
Drive alignment across teams on organizational priorities
Serve as a reliable internal point of contact for business operations questions
Operational Budget Management
Own and manage the operational budget for Business Development systems and tools, including project coordination resources
Provide quarterly spend reports to the EVP, with recommendations on investments or reductions
Research and eval
