The Senior Business Development Manager will spearhead strategic growth initiatives for the firm's elite national health care and life sciences practice and its associated sub-sectors. Acting as the primary operational liaison between practice leadership and the wider Marketing Department, this role is responsible for driving the complete business development lifecycle, from lead generation and structured data analytics to pitch execution and follow-up. The successful candidate will partner directly with attorneys to expand high-value client relationships, optimize market positioning through targeted thought leadership and events, track practice group budgets, and leverage cutting-edge technology, including AI workflows, to maximize client-service efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a commercially minded leader with marketing and business development experience within a law firm environment. Ideally, this person will possess recognized expertise in pitch coaching, client planning, and market segmentation. This role will require someone who is highly adept at navigating high-pressure situations with diplomacy, can analyze structured performance metrics to pivot tactics, and nurture the capabilities of junior team members. Proficiency in CRM platforms, digital marketing tools, and a solutions-focused mindset are essential to successfully collaborate across practices and drive cross-selling opportunities.
