Role
As a Senior Bid Manager, you'll oversee the complete lifecycle of high-value construction bids and framework submissions. You'll play a pivotal role in securing and renewing frameworks that are integral to the business’ continued success. This role involves you working closely with internal teams, clients and partners to lead the preparation, submission, writing and management of persuasive bids and proposals.
This is an excellent bid management opportunity for an experienced tender professional to influence business growth whilst working on nationally significant construction projects. You'll have the authority to shape win themes and drive continuous improvement across all bidding activities.

Responsibilities
As a Bid Manager in Nottingham, your responsibilities will include:
Lead the entire bid process for framework renewals and new construction tenders
Develop winning bid strategies and themes that differentiate the business from competitors
Collaborate with internal teams, including the Bid Director, to develop winning strategies and ensure compliance with client requirements
Develop and own the bid programme and deliverables schedule
Lead on bid governance and development processes including the bid launch
Manage bid programmes and coordinate inputs from various stakeholders to meet tight deadlines
Conduct competitor research and analysis to understand client needs and tailor proposals accordingly
Oversee timely submission of all quality, technical, and commercial bid requirements to ensure all tender clarifications are addressed
Oversee bid governance processes including risk tracking, clarification management and quality assurance
Build and maintain strong relationships with framework clients and industry partners
Coordinate graphic design and bid production
Mentor junior members of the work winning team
Track bid progress and report on risk mitigation and differentiation opportunities
Person
To be successful in this Bid Manager job in Nottingham, you will bring significant experience in construction tender management, ideally working for a main contractor or consultancy background.
Proven experience as a Bid Manager, Senior Bid Manager or Tender Manager within the construction industry
Strong understanding of procurement frameworks and bidding processes
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams
Outstanding organisational abilities with capability to manage multiple bid deadlines simultaneously
A keen eye for detail and quality in written submissions
Experience using MS Word, Excel and InDesign
Strategic thinker with ability to develop win themes and articulate complex offers
Knowledge of construction contracts, compliance processes and sector-specific requirements
Communicates regularly, clearly, and honestly with others
Encourages a positive approach to resolving problems and helps others to find safe, simple solutions.
