Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Batch Plant Operator to lead and oversee the daily operations of our batching plant. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of concrete and other materials. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, technical expertise in batching operations, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise all batching plant operations, ensuring timely and accurate production of concrete mixes Monitor and control batching equipment and systems to ensure consistent quality and compliance with specifications Coordinate with dispatch, quality control, and maintenance teams to optimize plant performance Train, mentor, and supervise junior operators and plant staff Maintain accurate production records, inventory logs, and daily reports Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste Ensure raw materials are properly stored, handled, and replenished as needed Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in plant operations or engineering is a plus Minimum 5 years of experience in concrete batching or related plant operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role Strong knowledge of batching systems, concrete mix designs, and quality control standards Proficient in operating computerized batching systems and plant automation software Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities Familiarity with OSHA and environmental safety standards Preferred Skills Forklift or heavy equipment operation certification Experience with preventive maintenance programs Knowledge of local construction and materials regulations Bilingual communication skills (if applicable)
