THE TEAM AND ITS MISSION KINEXON manages hundreds of active customer installations all around the globe running with different configurations in heterogeneous and demanding environments. To support this growth and ensure a standardized and stable deployment we have started to develop the  KINEXON Runtime Platform , a solution responsible for  deploying, running and monitoring  the KINEXON software stack in a  containerized environment . YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES   Drive the ongoing development of the KINEXON Runtime Platform , with a strong focus on backend services and platform reliability Design, implement, and maintain  Go-based backend services and REST APIs , primarily in a microservices architecture Build and maintain  internal tooling and automation in Go to improve developer workflows and platform operations Actively contribute to the  design, operation, and evolution of our container-native infrastructure (Kubernetes-based) Collaborate on  CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), including build infrastructure, runner fleets, and deployment strategies Support and partially own the  Kubernetes platform : deployments, scaling, debugging, networking, and security concepts Operate and improve our  observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, Sentry): dashboards, alerting, and incident response Work with  Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, optionally Ansible) to provision and manage cloud resources (AWS or Hetzner) Participate in  architecture discussions , design reviews, and planning for future backend and platform changes Review code changes, ensure high code quality, and mentor other engineers where appropriate Document architectural decisions and present new features or infrastructure improvements to internal stakeholders YOUR PROFILE   5+ years of professional experience as a Backend, Platform, or DevOps Engineer Strong backend engineering background with Go/Golang , including distributed systems Solid hands-on experience with  Kubernetes in production (deploying, debugging, operating containerized workloads) Good understanding of  container-native ecosystems (Docker, Kubernetes, CNCF projects, OCI artifacts, SBOMs) Experience with  CI/CD pipelines and build infrastructure , ideally GitLab Practical knowledge of  Infrastructure as Code , especially Terraform (state, modules, environments) Experience operating or debugging  cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred, Hetzner acceptable) Familiarity with  observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, VictoriaMetrics, Sentry, or similar Comfortable working in  Linux environments and debugging issues across application, container, and network layers Interest or experience in  AI / LLM tooling (e.g. AI-assisted coding, internal tooling, or API integration) is a plus Hands-on mentality, strong sense of ownership, and clear communication skills Fluent in English; German is a plus YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO THIS WITH US At KINEXON, you will meet people with a similar mindset who are passionate about innovative technologies and love to master new challenges in a team, as well as create great products.   Become part of our team and enjoy the following benefits:   #Freetime 30 days (DE) / 20 days (US) paid vacation to refuel your energy (for full-time employees) #WeCare ��
