Teleport is an AI Infrastructure Identity Company providing cryptographically secured identity solutions for infrastructure. This Senior Backend Engineer role focuses on platform scalability, working on the open-source Teleport Core Product to solve performance, security, and reliability challenges at scale. What You'll Do • Become an expert on scalability, performance, and reliability of Teleport in large deployments • Design, develop, and ship high-quality products, primarily writing code in Go • Collaborate closely with other teams on matters related to scalability and performance • Work directly with customers to diagnose and remediate performance issues • Contribute to the full product lifecycle from customer discovery through implementation, testing, and documentation What You Need • Extensive Go experience • Extensive experience developing scalable, reliable, and performant distributed systems and platforms • Linux systems engineering experience • Knowledge of Identity Management, RBAC, ABAC, and zero-trust security models • Willingness to complete a coding challenge in Go as part of the interview process Nice to Have • Significant contributions to open source projects • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to master new technologies • Transparency, honesty, and a no-ego mindset Extensive health coverage, annual expense budget, rest and recovery policies, retirement savings plans, professional development opportunities
