Location: Remote Type of work: Full-time Pine Software Technology Ltd is a software company specializing in trading technology solutions for regulated brokers and trading firms. The company provides Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products designed to support electronic trading, brokerage operations, risk management, and financial data analysis. As a Senior AQA/SDET Engineer you will be responsible for building and maintaining automated testing solutions for APIs, integrations, and data pipelines, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of large-scale data flows, and contributing to the evolution of automation frameworks and QA practices. Responsibilities: — Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for backend services and data-processing systems in the financial market data domain. — Build API, integration, and data validation test coverage using C#/.NET automation. — Validate correctness, completeness, and consistency of historical market data across APIs, databases, files, scheduled jobs, and downstream consumers. — Automate regression checks for data pipelines, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, caching, and delivery. — Create reliable test coverage for edge cases related to market dates, historical prices, corporate actions, missing data, delayed data, and incorrect calculations. — Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve test reporting, stability, and execution reliability. — Analyze failed tests and production-like issues using logs, monitoring tools, API responses, database queries, and configuration. — Collaborate with developers to improve testability, observability, and reliability of backend/data services. — Maintain test documentation, automation coverage notes, and clear defect reports. — 5-8+ years of AQA/SDET experience testing complex backend, API, data-heavy, or distributed systems. — 3+ years of hands-on test automation experience with C#/.NET. — Strong experience designing automation strategy, not only writing individual tests. — Proven experience building or improving automated test frameworks, CI/CD test stages, reporting, and quality gates. — Strong API and backend test automation experience. — Solid SQL and PostgreSQL experience, including advanced queries, data validation, and investigation of data inconsistencies. — Experience testing data pipelines, scheduled/background jobs, file processing, caching logic, and service-to-service integrations. — Ability to independently investigate production-like issues using logs, metrics, monitoring dashboards, API responses, database state, and service configuration. — Strong test design skills: regression strategy, risk-based coverage, boundary cases, negative scenarios, data-driven tests, and clear defect reporting. — Experience mentoring other QA/AQA/SDET engineers or improving team-level QA practices. — Understanding of backend architecture, environment-based configuration, service health checks, and deployment validation. — Experience working in Scrum or another Agile delivery process. — Languages: Ukrainian native/fluent and English Intermediate or higher. Nice to Have: — Experience with financial systems, trading platforms, market data, historical data, or time-series data. — Experience with ReportPortal, FluentAssertions, NUnit, or desktop UI automation. — Ability to read or debug C++, Go, or Python code. — Experience with time-series databases, Kubernetes/Nomad, Grafana, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Elasticsearch, or Kibana.
