Behind every seamless customer journey is a high performing airport operation. As a Senior Airport Performance Specialist , you'll help shape how Air New Zealand's airport network performs, delivering smarter ways of working, stronger operational performance, and better outcomes for our customers, our people and our business.
Working across our Airports Whānau, you'll influence how resources are planned, operational performance is improved, and change is delivered across our airport network. Partnering with Airport leaders, Workforce Planning and operational teams, you'll solve complex challenges using data, insight and collaboration. Every improvement you make will help create smoother journeys for customers and better experiences for our people.
How you'll make an impact
• Lead strategic initiatives that improve productivity and operational performance across our airport network.
• Turn operational data and workforce insights into practical improvements that strengthen efficiency, reliability and customer outcomes.
• Design and implement resourcing strategies and operational improvements that balance customer experience, safety, operational resilience and commercial performance.
• Influence senior leaders, operational teams and Union partners to successfully deliver sustainable change.
• Provide trusted expertise on airport resourcing, operational design and workforce optimisation across our domestic and international airport network.
• Help shape future ways of working by improving processes, technology and tools that enhance both employee and customer experiences.
What we're looking for
• Experience in airport operations, with resource planning or workforce management experience an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of airline operations, aviation regulations and delivering safe, efficient operational outcomes.
• A proven track record of leading productivity or continuous improvement initiatives within complex operational environments.
• Confidence interpreting operational data and translating insights into practical business solutions.
• The ability to influence senior stakeholders, build trusted relationships and navigate change across diverse teams.
• A collaborative mindset, curiosity to challenge the status quo and a passion for continuous improvement.
• An appreciation of the demands of a 24/7 operational environment.
