Senior Advisor, Medicaid & Marketplace Strategy
We are looking for a strategic, client-focused leader who is passionate about improving outcomes in Medicaid and Marketplace. In this role, you will help health plan clients navigate change, strengthen performance, and unlock growth. You will bring clarity to complex policy and market dynamics while shaping practical, forward-thinking strategies. Responsibilities
• Advise Medicaid and Marketplace clients on strategies that align policy, operations, affordability, and growth priorities
• Translate federal and state policy changes into clear insights and actionable recommendations that support business decisions
• Lead or contribute to market assessments, competitive insights, and trend analysis that inform client strategy, renewals, and expansion opportunities
• Partner across account management, sales, product, clinical, operations, and government affairs to align strategies and drive execution
• Support client retention and growth by shaping renewal strategies, expansion plans, and RFP or finalist positioning
• Represent client needs and perspectives in internal planning to influence product development, solution design, and regulated market initiatives
• Develop clear, executive-ready presentations and strategic materials that help clients make confident decisions
• Balance multiple priorities while delivering thoughtful, high-quality work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Qualifications
Required
• 7+ years of experience in regulated markets, pharmacy benefit management, health plan strategy, consulting, or a related client-facing role
• Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Marketplace, and government programs, including policy, quality, and operational considerations
• Ability to interpret complex information and turn it into practical, actionable guidance
• Strong communication skills, with experience creating clear and compelling presentations for senior leaders
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence across a matrixed environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on driving outcomes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized in a dynamic environment
Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public policy, pharmacy, or a related field
• Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MHA, MPH, PharmD)
• Experience working directly with health plan clients on strategy, growth, or performance improvement
• Familiarity with pharmacy benefit strategy within regulated markets
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 126,300 - 210,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
