State Government Opportunity | $43 - $50 ph + Super | Immediate Start | High-Level Coordination & Executive Support
The Role We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Senior Administration Officer to provide high-level support within a prominent State Government department. This is a pivotal role requiring a professional who can manage complex administrative tasks, coordinate departmental functions, and act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Executive Coordination: Manage complex diaries, schedule high-level meetings, and coordinate departmental events.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a professional interface between the department, government officials, and the public.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare, draft, and edit ministerial correspondence, briefs, and routine reports for senior management.
• Records Management: Maintain accurate digital records using government systems (e.g., TRIM, Objective, or SharePoint).
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement administrative efficiencies to support the smooth running of the unit.
• Issue Resolution: Interpret complex information to provide guidance and resolve escalated queries.
About You You are an adaptable administrative professional with a proven track record in the public sector. To be successful, you will bring:
• Government Expertise: Mandatory experience in a State Government administrative or coordination role.
• Technical Savvy: Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 Suite; experience with government records management systems is highly regarded.
• Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal skills, with the ability to draft formal correspondence with a high degree of accuracy.
• Problem Solving: A natural ability to multitask, prioritize high-pressure deadlines, and solve problems independently.
• Compliance: You must hold a current National Police Clearance (NPC). A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is ideal.
