Description
Manpower Cyprus on behalf of our client, a forward-thinking investment holding group operating across real estate, agriculture, trading, and information technology sectors, is seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant .
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting and compliance requirements, and providing meaningful financial analysis to assist in strategic decision-making across diverse business activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain full bookkeeping and accounting records for a portfolio of group companies
• Manage and review complex accounting transactions, including adjustments and reclassifications
• Prepare and submit VAT and VIES returns in accordance with local requirements
• Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Ensure adherence to IFRS standards and Cyprus Tax Department regulations
• Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities when required
• Perform financial and ad hoc data analysis to support management reporting and decision-making
Requirements
• ACCA/ACA qualified
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting or audit
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and complex accounting treatments
• Knowledge of VAT and Cyprus tax legislation (advantage)
• Experience with accounting software (ESOFT knowledge considered an advantage)
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Excellent command of Greek and English (written and spoken)
