The role involves providing advanced academic advising and operational support for undergraduate and graduate programs within the College of Science and Engineering, coordinating complex student cases, mentoring new advisors, and leading initiatives to improve advising efficiency and student success. Highlights • Advise students on academic requirements, degree progression, and university policies. • Coordinate with CSE departments, faculty, and university partners to address student and curricular issues. • Analyze and process degree plans, petitions, and graduation applications accurately. • Maintain advising documentation and standardized templates. • Support orientation, outreach, and retention efforts. • Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three years of academic advising experience in higher education. • Preferred qualifications: Master's degree and active involvement in professional advising organizations. • Technical skills: proficiency with Academic Advising technology and Microsoft Office 365. • Strong capabilities in communication, critical thinking, organization, and collaboration. • Department: SSI College Advising within the Division of Vice President & Provost at UHCL.
