SEND Teaching Assistant - Full Time September Start Havering Location: Havering Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Start Date: September Contract: Full Time Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Empowering Learning is recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Havering . This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, and committed to helping pupils reach their full potential. The Role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will: • Support pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, and communication difficulties. • Work on a 1:1 basis and with small groups to help students access learning. • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons. • Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence. • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. • Support students with personal care where required. The Ideal Candidate • Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school, care, youth work or similar). • A calm, patient, and resilient approach. • Passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
