About the role: Justteachers is currently recruiting a compassionate and experienced SEND Teacher for a full-time maternity cover role at a specialist SEN school located just outside of Nuneaton. The cover is expected to last from October 2026 until July 2027. This welcoming and well-resourced school supports children and young people with complex needs, including profound learning difficulties, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and significant medical conditions. The school provides a nurturing, person-centred environment where every pupil receives tailored support to develop communication, independence, and life skills. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver highly differentiated, multi-sensory lessons that meet individual EHCP targets. • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and medical staff to support pupils’ complex needs. • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and well-being. • Use a range of communication methods including PECS or Makaton. • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies to meet changing needs. Pre-requisites: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. • Experience teaching pupils with PMLD or in a complex needs/SEN setting is highly desirable. • A creative, flexible, and patient approach to meeting pupils’ wide-ranging needs. • Ability to lead a team of support staff effectively. • Two recent education-based references.
