🌟 SEN Teaching Assistant – Support Learners with Autism & PMLD 📍 Location: Tonbridge, Kent 💰 Pay: £13.70 – £15.20 per hour (based on experience) 🕒 Hours: Full-time, Term Time Only 📆 Start Date: September 2025 Are you a caring, patient, and proactive individual with a passion for supporting learners with complex needs? Heart Teaching is excited to recruit a compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school in Tonbridge this September. You’ll be supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) in a meaningful, long-term role that makes a real impact. ✨ Your Role Will Include: • Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups with communication, sensory, and physical needs • Collaborating with teachers and therapists to deliver individualised learning plans • Using communication aids such as PECS , Makaton , and sensory-based strategies • Assisting with personal care tasks when required • Promoting independence, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour • Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment ✅ We’re Looking For Someone Who: • Has experience supporting individuals with ASD and/or PMLD (ideal, but not essential) • Is calm, patient, and resilient in the face of challenges • Communicates well and works effectively as part of a team • Is committed to helping all learners thrive and succeed • Is willing to assist with personal care (full training provided) • Can work Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, during term time 🎁 In Return, You’ll Receive: • Competitive hourly pay: £13.70–£15.20 , depending on experience • Ongoing CPD and training to grow your skills • A friendly, supportive team at both the school and Heart Teaching • Work that’s truly rewarding and purpose-driven • The chance to secure a permanent position 🛡️ Safeguarding Commitment: Heart Teaching is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
