As an SEN Teaching Assistant , your responsibilities will include: • Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs. • Supporting pupils to access classroom learning and activities. • Helping pupils develop their confidence, communication and independence. • Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation. • Adapting activities and communication to meet individual needs. • Building strong and trusting relationships with pupils. • Creating a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment. • Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals. This SEN Teaching Assistant role would suit someone with experience in education, childcare, care, youth work or support work. Experience working with SEN, autism, SEMH or other additional needs would be highly desirable.
